2020 APWA State Project of the Year!
The Cass County Road Commission was just notified of an award received from the Michigan Chapter of American Public Works Association (APWA) for the 2020 Project of the Year.
The M-86 Truss Bridge Rehabilitation and Relocation project has been awarded for the category of HISTORIC PRESERVATION $1-$5 million
This Truss bridge originally located on M-86 in St. Joseph County was rehabilitated and relocated to Cass County through team collaboration with Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). It now sits on Crystal Springs Street in Pokagon Township over the Dowagiac Creek.
This award represents what can be accomplished with hard work, dedication using local resources in partnership to provide safe and better bridges for our residents.
